Not all desserts are tasty...

Oh yes . And that includes a famous doughnut brand here that has a flavor that is so delicious looking but when i eat it , it is bland for its filling .

Yes it happened when I bought something at the grocery store. I usually make my desserts.

i don't like tooooo much sweetness.. too much cream.. i'm not really a dessert eater. hehe

i'm not sure whether i have had a biitter dessert ever.anyway if the dessert is bitter it should be a desert..lol

Yes it has happened to me. I was craving something lemon so I was walking by this little bake shop and I seen this lemon square. Lemon is suppose to be tart. When I bit into it, it was way too sweet and tasted nothing like lemon should. I was so disappointed. I couldn't eat it. I had to throw it away. :(

Yes! But not too often as I am now slowly shying away from sweets and sugar. Anyway, one time I at ate a cake that really tasted stale. I double checked the expiration date and it is still a few days away from being bad. I tried a couple more bites to see if the taste will improve but it was really bad. And to make my experience worse, the store refused to refund me or even replace the cake. (Thank goodness I only bought a slice!) Since it is not really worth the trouble of getting a ll worked up, I charged it to experience and never returned there again. I also warned friends and family of the incident. By the way, shame on you for posting a very good picture of the dessert! Now I am craving for caramel and chocolate. It really looks good from here.

I find every dessert at Whole Foods is like that, they look great but taste not so great.

Yes the looks can deceive you, especially when you are craving something. I don't like caramel by the way

That is too bad it was not good. Yes, there are times we buy things that look good and then when we go to eat it it is not good.

yes the same had happened with me as well..recently i had a mixed fruit cake..it was tangy..may be because of the quality of the fruits in it..now i have promised myself not to order mixed fruit cake ever again

Yes, it is possible that we are fooled by the attractive look of the desserts. Some look great but may not taste well.

Oh my goodness yes! My daughter loves eggnog. One year we saw a eggnog cheese cake. She wanted it so we bought it. I never cared that much for eggnog but figured it couldn't be all bad. It was awful! We did try but could not eat it and had to throw it out .

Oh, yes! All that glitters is not gold and all that looks yummy just is not.

It has happened a few times. Sometimes the custard or jelly substance is leathery and really chewy. Others just taste nearly as nice as they look.

I got sick once eating a caramel sea salt combination so I would definitely pass on this.
