Not all desserts are tasty...

Unfortunately this Caramel Sea Salt Cake Slice was a thumbs down for us! I checked the expiration date prior to purchasing and the cake was good til a few days! However, the cake was very soggy at the bottom - it must be the moisture trapped in the packaging & being in the fridge section. The topping was nice, rich with caramel and chocolate .. but toward the bottom was a no no, Mushy! We ended up eating the top portion of the cake only with tea! Overall, not all desserts are good! Have you ever had dessert that looked good but taste wise it wasn't up to your standards? It happens!!

Oh yes . And that includes a famous doughnut brand here that has a flavor that is so delicious looking but when i eat it , it is bland for its filling .

@therealmaryyy Then again I also think those hyped stores know they are already popular - they don't put the same effort or quality into their foods anymore.

Sometimes the stores (desserts or not) are over hyped that when we go to try it out.. it isn't but even worth it!

Ohh I love desserts!! I'm a super sweet tooth but I don't like cream or frosting too. This one is another story though if felt like a candy consistency not cream or frosting but it was good just the bottom of the cake was soggy!

Yes it has happened to me. I was craving something lemon so I was walking by this little bake shop and I seen this lemon square. Lemon is suppose to be tart. When I bit into it, it was way too sweet and tasted nothing like lemon should. I was so disappointed. I couldn't eat it. I had to throw it away. :(

Yes! But not too often as I am now slowly shying away from sweets and sugar. Anyway, one time I at ate a cake that really tasted stale. I double checked the expiration date and it is still a few days away from being bad. I tried a couple more bites to see if the taste will improve but it was really bad. And to make my experience worse, the store refused to refund me or even replace the cake. (Thank goodness I only bought a slice!) Since it is not really worth the trouble of getting a ll worked up, I charged it to experience and never returned there again. I also warned friends and family of the incident. By the way, shame on you for posting a very good picture of the dessert! Now I am craving for caramel and chocolate. It really looks good from here.

Haha! Sorry, I love sweets but I really have to stay away from it. Luckily you only bought a slice and not an entire cake! Whole Foods is really good about taking stuff back but I didn't want to bother.

Oh my goodness yes! My daughter loves eggnog. One year we saw a eggnog cheese cake. She wanted it so we bought it. I never cared that much for eggnog but figured it couldn't be all bad. It was awful! We did try but could not eat it and had to throw it out .
