Men bowing to women

Certain countries in the world bow to each other whether they are strangers or not.
Specially in the countries like China, japan and I think in Korea also this’s popular and as visitors we think it is very polite indeed.
But in certain communities men bow only to women not the vice versa!!!!!
I don’t know anything else but I’ve heard this fact.
Do you think it is important and good?
Should your country make it a law?

Well, here in phil , we somehow bow our heads to give respect.
I dont think it is necessary to become a law ... Its absurd to get jailed bcos of not bowing. Hehehe just my thought
