The Dictator buried like thief in the Night

This is what the Vice president of the country said in her social media account when she learned the Marcos family finally decided to bury him in secret. You see, no succeeding administration has allowed the dead Ferdinand Marcos to be buried in the Heroes Cemetery. All that change when Duterte came to power. However, that final decision by the Supreme isn't final for 15 days, but the family decided to sneak in and do it. I think they may have the GO from the President but he's not on the country right now. While watching this, they were a lot of protest about his burial. Surviving victims and relatives of dead victims from the Martial Law Era just boiled in anger.
Activist groups and martial law victims were shocked at the surprise burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the heroes' cemetery just 10 days after ...

@Letranknight2015 yes indeed! .. sadly, it's in our culture to ignore the process set out with the law of the land ... The lawmakers themselves bend the rules to suit them ..

Hello @Lucky15 Some just didn't experience or didn't see his Presidency as good. Some are just total communist that they disregard any achievements from him.

@Lucky15 _ Martial law was declared not to "save" the country but to perpetuate a dictatorship sanction not by law but by force.

This would be very controversial. I hope it doesn't lead to more unrest.

Unfortunately, not everybody agrees. Specially those who experience abuse instead of benefiting from his government. @brokenbee

Mark Twain said "It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them". Marcos may have been given a "hero's" burial but what matters most is what people feel in their heart about him. No amount of legalistic sommersaulting can change that.

No one will remember the abuse that's been done during Martial Law even if they had him buried at the heroes cemetery @josie_

@Letranknight2015 _ Burying Marcos in the libingan ng mga bayani may be part of an attempt to rehabilitate his image as a dictator during his martial rule. Bongbong has presidential ambitions and it won't hurt his political career having a father who is a "hero".

Why do they insist? They don't have shame. What kind of family is this? You know you have many sin against your country and you still want to be buried like a hero??? Their crazy.
