A short story about her.

For more than half of her life, happiness was something she saw only in movies. The only emotion she had was bitterness. Life for her was a mad rush from one activity to another. In this process, she totally forgot who she was and what she was. She always craved for travelling, wanted to travel the world. The long mountains, sea beach, forests, beckoned her. Her lust for travelling haunted her in her dreams. One fine day, she woke up, she decided to live her dreams and travel the world. This was the beginning of a new ‘her’. This led to a fundamental transformation in herself. This experience of waking up to the power of her own transformation fired her up to “be the change she wanted to see in the world.”
By taking a break from her monotonous daily life, and engaging in new activities in new places, she got herself released of her unwanted activities. Unknown place, unknown people who are unaware of the encyclopaedia of her past reinforced her willingness to broaden her horizons and helped her to move in new direction.
She suffered from chronic asthma but she mustered the energy to climb steps to the top of an ancient ruin, just to soak in majestic view. She decided to have that extra hour after sunset at sea, before Coast guard whisks her away, she decided to have a highway full of autumn clouds and the September wind in her crazy hair. She was able to come out of her depression, bitter thoughts. She was a transformed human being now. She decided to live each day as if it was her last day.

That has always been my motto in life, to live each day as if it were your last. I do my best to make the most of each and every day. My dad passed away in his sleep many years ago now but I often wonder if he had known life was going to end so quickly without warning would he have done more. Were there things in his life he put off until tomorrow thinking there would be a tomorrow. Great story..thanks for sharing.
