Back from the parade

It was a bit chilly. The wind didn't die down and it rained on and off but it was a nice parade just the same. There were lots of people there and so many excited little kiddies waiting for Santa's arrival. The parade lasted about an hour. It was a great evening. Now the holiday season is in full swing.
I got my tree up and the lights on it but I didn't decorate it yet. Time to relax and try to catch up on some mylotting. Hope everybody had a great day so far.

Sounds like fun I miss holiday parades we only have them for the 4th of July where I live.I am having a relaxing day and a good day at myloting.

Happy mylotting. This is the only parade that we have. We use to have a few other ones but they stopped over the years.

They had a great parade in the town near us last Friday night.
It was balmy-in the mid 60's F and calm.
The next day it was much much colder and windy.
They had 100 floats in our parade, and had to turn away last minute requests to join in-don't ask me why they'd turn a float away.
Our tree won't go up for another couple of weeks, we're away next weekend and yesterday I got out our snowman and Santa display and got that set up.
Such a fun time of the year.

That is a big parade. Sad that they turn floats away though, a lot of hard work goes into them. It is the best time of year.
