When I was a kid, I used to do most of my work with my left hand: Writing, picking/holding something, throwing etc. But my mom, believing that the left stands for bad/evil(due to religious reasons), made me practise many things with my right hand, including writing. With whch hand do you, my fellow myLotters, are most comfortable doing your work? Or are you equally comfortable with both hands? Do we have ambidextrous people here?

I am semi ambidextrous, I could do some things only with my left or right hand or do things with both. My dominant hand is my left hand, it is stronger and could do more work

@hereandthere I can paint and draw with both hands, and think I can write a little with my right but did not improve on it since my penmanship would become different, i could use both hands with most tools but then again the left is stronger, more accurate and better aim such as in the use of a hammer, left is always more dominant. Oh my right is better with scissors.

@louievill i think there are people who are naturally left-handed and do everything with their left hand, and use their right hand only for writing because they were taught/forced that way when they started going to school.

People who are ambidextrous must be special here. I'm right handed. Well, are you still left handed now? Or...you have become an ambidextrous person..???

@Ayuriny seriously i think @Nihil90 being ambidextrous is forced, she is like my late aunt who's hands were spanked by nuns in school when using the left hand, think if they are left alone they are lefties. Our culture defines what handed we are in writing most of the time.

@tammys85 So you don't use your left hand while doing daily chores?

So you were a natural right-hander since you were a child.

@just4him I was a leftie. But my mom, through a combination of physical coercion and coaxing, made me use my right hand more often

@amitkokiladitya I use my right hand. The writing with my left hand looks like that of a child who goes to the kindergarten

Yes I normally use both my hands for doing routine things. But I prefer to use my left hand for things that require physical strength like opening a can that is hard to open or say hitting the hammer on the nail.

I am right-handed but my husband is a bit of both. One son is left-handed. So are you mostly right-handed now?
