Would You Stay If MyLot Stopped Paying?

Most of us are here for money I suppose. Yes, we are having fun with it too and making online friends, discussing, learning from each other, having someone to listen to our problems and concerns...etc. But in the end, our main goal (for the most I think) is to earn some cash. But what do you think would become of this site if they stopped paying. I think many users would stay and interact. Probably not as frequent as now, but still, they would not turn their back to the site. I know this because some paying sites I used to write for, like Persona Paper and WikiNut, stopped paying users, but loyal members stayed nevertheless. Whenever I check those websites I see almost daily posts. I think the same applies here. I don't only see people writing for money. I see real discussions. And some users grew fond of each other which is probably why they would still be here to keep each other updated about their lives.

I guess if the site stopped paying, the majority of the members would move to another site which pays. There, they would all be together again and could continue their interactions and friendships.

That makes sense. If they can all agree to move together. Finding a similar site would not be that easy either

@MALUSE true but some members were still active on Bubblews too. But it was like one post every 2 hours. Majority immigrated to other paying sites like you said.

@Madshadi This happened when the site bubblews closed shop about one year ago. Many members moved here. They continued in the same way as they did on the other site.

I am one of the long time members and there was a period of time no payment and most of the people that were on my friends list left this site. I tried to stay active, but with so few people that share interests it was really hard, so stopped posting. Can you believe I posted a movie and it received zero responses. It was like nobody saw it and it still has zero responses.

I hope mylot will flourish and that won't happen again. It won't be easy to switch to another platform and find your old friends if the worse happens

It happened already and I still dropped by once in a while to see who was still posting even when Mylot stopped paying, answered a few discussions but sort of became boring cause the regulars when it was paying were mostly gone.

So why did they decide to start paying again?

@Madshadi not sure buti the format changed, perhaps this one would make them money instead of losing, another guess could be change of ownership or control, again it's only a guess

I would stay around but not be as active. I have made many friends on here so it would be nice to keep in contact with them.

I went through the period when the site stopped the earning program. I wasn't going to leave just because of that reason. But because the site changed so much back then and became full of spammers, I became inactive and followed the migration flood to another site to continue having fun with the friends I made on here...

I am not here for money because it is too LITTLE I am on other sites and I come when I am free. So, it doesn't matter if the site continue or stop paying

I feel the same way...i have actually grown to like some people here and would love to keep reading their posts. Though yes...there would not a pressure to try reach the payout...so things might relax in terms of the number of responses i give.

I guess stop paying would seriously harm the site. Very few people would stay and if they do, they wouldn't be regularly active.

You know, I tend to agree with you. I did come for the money but the money is too little. And I have decided to stay and try and interact with some people here. I like this kind of warm and cozy and caring ...feels good actually. Pity the pay is so low. I spend most of my time on another site (I earn $55.00 a day and used to earn 1,000 a month) plus) but can't cash out now. And if you can't cash out...then nothing of nothing is nothing!

I always thought that if earnings were higher the site wouldn't be able to sustain itself. It requires more effort here to get paid well

I wouldn't stay. I had a site I used to post on that stopped paying,, and I might have stayed but the forum owner told me he would pay me...the money I was owed, and I never got it...so even though I did like most of the people there...that wasn't right..so I did not go back. Here..it is kind of fun...but I wouldn't stay.

I admire those members who stayed throughout the non-paying period but, no, I would not stay.
