I think tomato is a fruit but since we grown up learning it is a vegetable as it is widely known also. but I'm sure too.

it depends on how you consume it.
if eaten raw can be a fruit,if cooked with spices it is vegetable.

Undoubtedly, Tomotoes fall under the category of vegitable,eventhough it has some character of fruits.

I'd label this as vegetable myself. Now, you get me confused and think what tomato is really is. hmmm...maybe fruit too? you get me confused now lol!

it's the first time i hear that tomatos are called veggies. and looking in this post i was surprised to see that alot of people look at tomatos as a fruit. for me they were always veggies and will always be like that. i eat them with salty food and make salty salads out of them, thing i would never do with a fruit because they are sweet. so i consider fruits as sweet, and tomato a veggie lol.

Many of my friends eat tomato as though it is a fruit but strictly speaking its a vegetable. weird but true.

its a fruit, its on the lists of vegetables because the tomato is not as sweet as those foodstuffs usually called fruits and it is typically served as part of a main course of a meal, as are other vegetables, rather than at dessert.

i think its genuine vegetable because its used in cooking and heated during the process
a fruit is not meant to be heated before we eat it so
i conclude it as a vegetable
