After all time i spend on the site and all of my articles still at the site,i got a message that the site is being shut down for good.At least they could have let us remove some of our articles from the site since they are many and it took me time to write. My earnings are 40 dollars plus and i wish they could have paid me lol..

I always got paid before they changed their system. After that I stopped posting. I had about $20 owing when they closed down but I had already taken down any articles that might be recycled/rewritten for elsewhere (about 100). Bubblews got me started in posting short articles on paying sites, just as the also-defunct Webanswers did with.paid question-and-answer sites so I have no regrets, apart from not posting a lot more during their more solvent periods.

Yes I think it started a lot of us realising that some sites would pay. Few are left now. Do you write anywhere and earn from it now?

@Jackalyn I earn from offline writing (fringe theatre, comedians, competitions, etc). I also get occasional commissions from a niche website. And I earn a bit from Adsesnse on my website/blog (which has not been fully updated for a very long time). Over the past three years I have followed, and sometimes even signed up for, various article sites but they nearly all seem to stop paying, disappear or get sold on to others so I am not encouraged to post.

I cannot say I regret it because I did good with earnings for a while and met some awesome people. Though many did get burned in the end, but at least we have MyLot. :)

I think many people learned to keep a copy of what they write from the experience, but not giving people any warning and just shutting like that was mean.

The same thing seems to be happening on Tinycent..but i have already kept a copy of my articles there....so even if they close down now they would only owe me $3...which i could let go of.
