There are some rumors that the new president is planning pull out the BPO companies in the Philippines, in India and other countries. The BPO industry is mainly the source of employment of some Filipinos and this move will have a great impact in the Philippine economy. If Trump will pull out the BPO companies, they will have no choice but to comply. To my Filipino and American friends, and even other mylotter overseas, what do you think about this? Please share your thoughts.

There are a lot of BPO companies here who caters US customers. A lot of Filipino employees will surely lose their jobs.

I think not really pulling out but placing them in their own country.

That's fine with me as long as the plans are not drastic and the employees and the company can prepare.

Don't worry yet. He says a lot of things that do not come to fruition. He wants to bring more jobs back to America, but that doesn't mean he can or will.

Well Trump wants to make America great again, this means he wants to give jobs to the Americans and I suppose he is planning to do something like this. Do not worry too much it will take time. Do not forget that it was your President who was the first to say he does not want too close ties with the United States.

He may say it that way, but I think he is referring to removing the US troops in the Philippines, not really completely cutting off the ties between the two countries. He is a lawyer and a man who will do anything to help the people. The president is always misunderstood specially when the media here and overseas are sensationalizing everything he said. I was also shocked when I heard his statement, but I think he explained it further. He don't mean to say cutting ties completely with the US.

@chiwasaki I hope too, I think he talk before thinking and so he is misunderstood, just like when he showed his middle finger to Obama and said to the European Parliament to mind their business.
