Don't you feel it is expensive and throwaway material compared to stainless steeel box or plastic box.

But for Indian standard, it costs quite a bit and it works out expensive. Hence majority of people carry the food in stainless steel boxes. Thanks for your response.

Gold foil sheets are also available but it is expensive. In our place, restaurants give parcels in aluminium foiled trays. Advantages being food remains warm, easy to wrap.I wonder whether we consume a bit of aluminium along with food? Any idea, myLot members?

There are several advantages: 1. No need to clean the vessels/boxes 2. Retains the aroma of the food 3. convenient to carry (weightlessness) 4. It retains the warmth

Yes the advantages are right. But remember we waste resources when we use disposable things. On the other hand reusable things save resources

That is wonderful. In most Indian familities they prefer to take the food in stainless steel containers when they go for work. The cost of alumnium foil is slightly expensive for our standard of living is n't it? Thanks for your response.

It is clean. It is handy. It is light weight. It remains hot. No need to wash, after eating just dispose off in dustbin.
