The tortoise hibernation

I have two little turtles. The weather is getting colder and colder here.They're starting to sleep now .I don't know if I should put them in the water.But my Mom said the tortoise should be buried in the sand.So who can tell me the correct way ?

Just search it on baidu, the turtle lives in the sea, the tortoise lives in the land.

Ask a pet shop owner...Instead of doing anything wrong, its better to ask a proper person...:)

They will bury themselves if you put them in the sand.
