Let's take bets on....

.....how many "Happy Thanksgiving" posts will appear today. So far without too much effort I see two and haven't scrolled down yet. It is safe to assume there will be dozens. Well, I won't bite...I think I'll talk about something else regarding the day - food. For two of us we will have a turkey breast. Since you can't stuff one of them I have stuffing in a baking dish in the oven right now. It's only for me, my husband isn't a fan , he also isn't a fan of cranberry sauce. I also have sweet potatoes with lots of butter and brown sugar in the oven. That dish we both agree on. The other veggie of the day will be corn and lima bean succotash. I have had that for holiday meals since I was a kit - that's a long long time! Oops, I must remember to take my freshly baked coconut cake out of the freezer...actually Pepridge Farm baked it - I figured I've done enough and will be doing enough cooking. So - for those of you who celebrate, have a wonderful day and dinner. For the other, have a great Sunday. Now back to the kitchen!

I have counted too many. For the moment I am having a good Thursday, it's not yet Sunday. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your husband.

@AbbyGreenhill When there is a holiday I use to think it's Sunday.

@AbbyGreenhill .....Not a happy day to me. Scads of emails about it and people out in droves thinking they are going to save big bucks.

Enjoy your meal. It certainly sounds delicious. I'm not sure what we'll be having tonight. I'll have to ask the chef!
