The good news is, atleast I'll be able to make payout this month.

My work schedule runs from Wednesday to the following Tuesday. It gets posted per week, and usually either on Friday or Saturday. With the new manager, it seems as if it's mostly Saturday that it gets posted.
I worked last night and so was able to see what he had posted and talk to him about it. I don't work until NEXT Sunday. Not tomorrow, but the Sunday after.
There is a chance they'll call me in and oh how I hope that occurs. Our hours, All of our hours, are being cut. It's because of the Holidays, and especially after Thanksgiving.
I'm not even the one whose hours were cut the most, of which I am thankful. However, if you ask me, the ones who were cut the most deserve it as they are very slow at the task.
In any case, I'll be here more, and online earning in general because of it. I should have my normal hours back by the second week of December though.
Do your hours increase or decrease due to the Holiday Season?

Yes, but you have the entire summer to either find other employment, or be off work?

This is a festival season. So even in the holiday season we will not be able to devote more time to it.

I don't work in retail, so my hours remain the same all the time. We don't really have any time of year that's busier than another.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I enjoy it.. I've always liked being a cashier of sorts.. so it's perfect for me. I like the customer service aspect too, most of the time. Sure there's a few that are a pain in the rear.. I've been yelled at by customers before. But there's also a few customers I'd consider to be friends. Some of them bring us gifts... usually food but one brought a scrubby sponge she had made last week.

I understand why everyone's hours are cut but it still stinks. Sure, people are shopping less for food the two weeks after Thanksgiving but come on it's not like we're a small grocery chain!
Oh well, I'm glad your hours remain the same. I applied as credit union teller once but it really wasn't something I wanted to do.

Must be difficult when your hours get cut like that. My hours are always the same.

Lucky You! Yes, my hours always get cut this time of year, and while the entire store's are cut, I always feel personally affronted because it seems (in my department) I am the one whose hours are cut the most. Of course, this year we have more people, and some of them have even less hours than I do.

Thank You. Worst time of year to have cut hours, but I'll manage.

I work for the schools, we have lots of days off, therefore, it is a decrease.

It has been a long long time since I've been on here. The school system job is fairly new?

With babysitting my hours decrease because people don't go out on many date nights since it's close to Christmas.

Yes, I imagine they are saving their money for the kids for Christmas. I would still think they'd have you babysit while they go out to do said shopping, at the very least?

@ScribbledAdNauseum yeah, I understand... I don't have hourly job anymore but when I managed a gift shop years ago, end of year was the busiest time.

As do I! I mean, I'm resourceful with online earning, and I can take this opportunity to clean and decorate but still!
