Im so scared for my daughter

I can't change how I feel. On the outer part of my spirit I am apathetic, but on the inside I feel broken. My daughter almost succeeded in killing herself. My thoughts are that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
I have to be the strong one. Her hubby is broken hearted and scared she won't ever come home because she was 10.13'd to the psychiatric hospital. She hasn't called me once, but she calls her husband every day.
Oxygen loss has taken her memory. She doesn't know my name. She doesn't know she has dogs. It's sad.
Her hubby spends time with me at night because he doesn't want to be alone. He can't sleep.
Picture is mine.
Please pray, if you believe in prayer.

Oh how sad @OreoBrownie . The question that always comes to mind is why? I truly hope she'll be okay.

I do too. I just don't understand why I have so much apathy. Maybe it is because I put her in God's hands and promised I would not interfere with his healing virtue.

God is a good God. I believe He hears and answers. I believe even though I don't see any improvement myself she wants to come home so I count that as an improvement.

Huge hugs. That's a heck of a lot to deal with right now, for you and your son-in-law. It sounds like she's in a place that's well-equipped to help her work through the issues. Perhaps you can suggest to your son-in-law that he ask the staff there about support services for families of patients. I imagine they can connect both of you with resources that will help you deal with the current situation, too.

So sad! This is really a tough one. We hear so many stories about this during the holidays, don't we? Some are hurting for years and we don't know.

I have dealt with depression and anxiety much of my life and have been where she is - all you can do is show your support and be there for her emotionally and physically
