The First Day of Advent 2016!

We celebrated it during the 6am Mass, and the first Advent wreath candle was lit by a respected couple in our city. As we arrived in the house, we also prepared for our night activity. We readied our Advent Wreath. After dinner, we sat by the sala & our daughters took turns reading the story about how the Advent celebration started, when it should be held, with whom & what prayers to recite, every night. Then, we stood, recited the prayer & sang, "Oh Come, oh come, Emmanuel!" This is a happy start of our waiting for the birth of Jesus Christ! Merry Christmas everyone!

@KnehKnah This will be a pretty sad Christmas, my sister-in-law is in hospital from 2 weeks and we do not even know if she will survive until Christmas.

We had a meaningful Holy Mass yesterday. Four candles were there and one of them was lighted in the beginning of the mass.

That's what was done too in our Church yesterday, during the Mass. The 1st purple candle was lit by a respected couple (also Catholics). In our house, the lighting of the candle will be done before or after dinner. It is followed by family time. Such happy nights for the family, until the Christmas eve!
