Well, I'm back from the doctor...

It's been a long day and I'm exhausted. Sadly, no more 10 minute rides to the doctor any longer. This is going to take some getting used to. Apparently, he doesn't think that it has anything to do with the statins that I'm taking, but he sent me for blood tests just to be sure. He thinks that I just chose exercises that were too intense and I developed a really huge knot. I had no idea that anything so inconsequential could hurt so much. All I can think about now is wrapping a heated bean bag around my leg for an hour or so before I go to bed! Anything to loosen this knot. Apparently there is a long technical word for it (I wrote it down) and it sounds pretty impressive. I have never hoped that the day would come to an end so quickly... As it is, I can barely keep my eyes open. Two hours of sleep will do that to you!

Do the term sounds like "myofascial trigger points"? The knots form because the spasm keeps the muscle continuously working. You surely exercised too much and too hard.

I think that is exactly what I must have done, but it certainly didn't seem like it!
