Christmas Carols with the Family

Santa was on top of the music agenda last night with "Santa baby" and "Santa Clause is coming to town" and then Rudolph made his appearance with his Red nose, but the most wonderful of all the Christmas Carols is "Silent Night"
We were entertained with a sing-a-long crowd for more than three hours singing some of the old favorites: Drummer Boy, Mary's Boy Child, Away in a manger, Joy to the World, O' Holy Night, and finishing off with plenty of Jingle Bells, and the Jingle Bell Rock.
My grandsons loved it and were rocking away to the music, not a minute were they too tired to enjoy the festivities. Each had a battery operated little candle which they waved up and down just like "FANS" at a concert.
We had a picnic supper on the grass as we sang and listened to the caroling and afterwards, we went for coffee at the "Akker" (acorn in English) which is a coffee shop that my hubby and I used to visit when we were courting 37 years ago. The children love it, they says it makes them feel like they are walking down a memory lane, which I suppose they are.
Well now its definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas and my hubby has proclaimed that the Festive Season is officially ON!
Oh - I got my first Christmas card from Valarie @just4him yesterday - THANK YOU!
My photo is of my very strange cats this morning - wrapping themselves in the tinsel and other Christmas decorations I have ready for the tree.
Feliz Navidad especially to Barry in Spain and to Janet that has just returned from Spain. I love the Spanish greeting for "Merry Christmas" the most of all!

Your cats look like they are ready to help trim the tree. Your special evening with your grandchildren sounded like lots of fun for everyone.
I'm so glad your card arrived. Your husband is right. The Festive Season is officially ON. I hope it's a wonderful one for you.
