We have been lucky so far around here for the weather. Today it will be about 52 F. That's really good for this time of the year. I wonder if we are going to have a lot of snow this year, some people says yes and others say no. Only time will tell. I sure would prefer very little snow. And what do you prefer?

I would say I would prefer a little snow, being that I live in Florida, but I know that as soon as it gets cold enough to snow, I'll be complaining that I hate the cold and there is a reason I live in Florida! lol

A little snow on Christmas's eve and then, it can stay away. Best scenario.

@marlina We actually had that scenario about five years ago here in Florida. It snowed for about 5 minutes on Christmas Day. Well, snow flurries really, but to us Floridians it might as well have been a blizzard!

I have heard we will have a very bad winter. My kids will love it but I will hate it. I do not like the cold. Yesterday was a little warmer so I got out and got the contents in s shed tidied up and put my push lawn mower inside.

@shaggin And I loved snow when I was young, and played in it also.

Clearly no snow for me, as live in sunny Southern California. The lemons and oranges wouldn't survive in back yards in freezing weather. I prefer to see the sun and your 52 degrees is great.

@marlina I do grow lemons. This is the reason I'm always looking for lemon recipes. There is a lot of fruit and my neighbors have trees. I do give away other fruit and vegetables.

Do you grow your own lemons and oranges?

@Fishmomma You give away fruits and vegetables? To the homeless shelters or friends?

It's actually quite warm here too. We did have snow, but it all melted due to the temperature. I'm not complaining too much.

I also would prefer some snow. I would love for it to snow on Christmas Eve but that's probably not going to happen.

Snow is pretty when it is still clean, after that, it is ugly.

@marlina yeah, it certainly does get nasty fast. A good blanket can keep the house warmer too, but I worry about the dog, he is still being stubborn about pooping outside, so has to be left out for a bit until he gives in and goes, this is harder when it is cold. as it is, I put him out wearing a sweater or a coat

I don't mind the snow; it's pretty to look at and fun to play in, I just mind getting blizzard-like conditions every week because it starts to interfere with plans and such.

It sounds like you're having much the same type of weather as we are here in Michigan this week, Marie. It gets a bit colder during the night, but by nine am it's been into the mid-forties already. I'd like to keep this weather, but I've heard that we may see snow sometime either this weekend or next week. But that's what I've heard, I've not checked it out for myself yet. Many times people don't pay good attention to where in the country the nasty weather is headed. I was hoping to get more bulbs or seeds planted yet, but tomorrow is my last day off this week and I'll bet too tired out when done working for the day to do anything outside. I'd prefer no snow at all, not even for Christmas.
