Turkey? yup that's what's for dinner tonight. It's a heat and eat meal. No fuss no muss. My daughter had Thanksgiving at her house last week and dropped off a huge pile of leftovers which I froze. Not being in the mood to cook tonight I figured it was easy to defrost and eat a wonderful turkey dinner with all (or most) of the fixings. Since I haven't had turkey since Thanksgiving I'm looking forward to it while many of you are probably sick and tired of that old bird

When Mom used to make her huge Thanksgiving feasts, we would be eating those leftovers for days and days and I'd find myself begging her to make something else for a change! lol But I think you did the right thing for tonight! Enjoy every bite!

I find that freezing small lots of gravy and turkey works best for us. I actually did up the last of our Thanksgiving Day bird this past Sunday. We had turkey club wraps, and oven roasted potatoes with left over gravy, it was a really nice spin on the way we usually eat our leftovers. And now no more until after the Christmas bird. I hope that you can space your turkey meals out too.

I am not sick of it actually the opposite. I only had Turkey on Thanksgiving as well and no left overs where sent home. We were given a turkey from my husbands boss but we froze that and it is at my parents house because we had been over there so often but then this week we havent been there since Thanksgiving!

Well, I think that it's a very, very long time that I do not cook a whole turkey and I am still sick now. It's not tomorrow that I am going to make a roasted turkey again.

I only had turkey on Thanksgiving. For us, it was brisket and a mashed potato casserole for three nights. I made way too much food.

It's good being to freeze meat. At least you don't have to keep eating the same old thing till you're heartily sick of it.
