The motto of Virginia is “Virginia is for Lovers.” What that refers to is this. Whatever you LOVE, you will find it in Virginia. There are mountains, and beaches, Revolutionary War and Civil War historic sites, the birth places of EIGHT U.S. Presidents, museums, battlefields, wineries, white water rafting, lakes, State Parks, and many other places and things of interest. You can visit the homes of these EIGHT presidents and even the places where they are buried, all here in Virginia. Hollywood Cemetery, named after the numerous holly trees that grow there, in Richmond, Virginia is the final resting place for President James Monroe, and President John Tyler. Also, buried there is Confederate President, Jefferson Davis and General J.E.B. Stuart, along with over 18,000 Confederate soldiers, including the very first battle casualty of the Civil War. https://www.virginia.org/presidents/ For more information about the homes of the U.S. Presidents and photos of these homes and other information, see the above link.

That has to be the only cemetery with two Presidents not to mention Davis.

Not sure about that. JFK is at Arlington Cemetery, which many people don't realize, used to be the property of Robert E. Lee, if I'm not mistaken. I know I wrote an article about it quite a while ago. I'll have to look for it and check my facts. William Howard Taft and JFK are the only two presidents buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Taft's wife, Helen, is also buried there, along with several other Presidential family members, including Edward M. Kennedy, Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., Robert Kennedy and Robert Todd Lincoln. Also, George Washington Parke Custis.

@IreneVincent Murphy was a major movie star also. Certainly having a Medal of Honor qualifies for Arlington.

Virginia is a beautiful state with a lot to offer any tourist who comes here. I really enjoy living in Virginia. I've never been to Latvia. I'm sure it is also a beautiful country. What are some of the places you would recommend visiting in Latvia? I will have to do some research on Latvia's history and people. Perhaps I can find some photos too. You should post something about your country so that we would know more about it.
