I believe this for the most part, the happiest people are givers. There is a sense of fulfillment when a person gives to others. You can give of your time, just by listening to some one. You can give of your kind words. There are many ways of giving.
Unhappy people are the getters/takers.... they are the people that expect people to do things for them. Often times they don't even give thanks to those that give to them. They often times just want people to give more and more to them, without giving back. These are the people who expect every thing, even control. These people are the most negative, unhappy people.
So, be a happy person and give something to some one!!!
~Peace~

I think this makes sense to a point. I am not sure why more do not give instead of receive.I think some of it might have to do with people would be epecting that all the time. I also wonder if that is why Donald Trump whines so much.

The people I know personally seem happier when only receiving. Those that like to give may need more power in lives, and it makes them feel better as long as the others are not total takers, but like you say the receivers will not usually give back or if they do they seem to resent it and will behave like it also. Sad really. Great post.

I do agree with what you are saying. It makes you feel happy and good when you can helps others or be there for them. It is not a fun feeling though when people take you for granted though.

I totally agree. The whiners are unhappy. They always want someone to do something, to provide something.....ideally to carry them so they can play. Like to think I'm a giver, but some days I also like to be at the receiving end of some kindness.

Your post speaks volumes on the topic of personal growth @STOUTjodee Giving and sharing what we have, fills us with happiness. The act of giving enriches our lives in many ways. Have no expectations; in this way you will not be disappointed when there is no outer appreciation.

I agree, I feel so light when I was able to help someone, even in a very small way.
