Life Is Sometimes Tedious and Uninteresting

Sometimes we have to do something on a regular basis that we really HATE to have to do. Especially, if you work for someone else. They don’t want to do the chore themselves, so they delegate it to you.
But, even at home, there are things that I sometimes wish I had a maid to do for me. In fact, I have offered to pay someone to come in once a week and clean for me.
My daughter won’t accept any pay from me, but she does come once in a while and runs the vacuum and cleans the bathtub and the kitchen floor.
Most other things, I can manage on my own, but I do like a clean and neat house. So, I just concentrate on one room each day and that works for me.
What is something that is tedious or uninteresting on your job or at home that you have to do on a regular basis?

I'm a house and pet sitter and currently up a mountain and the two dogs get two daily walks......up the mountain.
They are excellent dogs as long as you take them uphill, go downhill to the village and they will chase anything with two legs or more so that is not an option. the hill in the mornings, ug, is all I will say.
It fair gets the old lungs going and the heart pumping lol. We got about a foot of snow the other day, cheered me up no end lol
Actually I am in a love/hate situation with this hill, hahahaha

But, if you go UP the hill you have to come back down. That would be difficult for me to do. Going uphill for anything would be a major chore for me.

@GinerNut No, I really don't have any joint pain at all. It's my shortness of breath that I have to deal with, unfortunately. I have 14 steps to go upstairs in my house and I usually do it a dozen times a day. Sometimes I have to go a few steps at a time and rest halfway up. I hate it.

@IreneVincent that's certainly a good one. Saying that, mine now needs to be hung out! Bother

@valmnz I'm glad to have access to a dryer. So, much easier. I used to hang the clothes out but no more. I live in a smaller house, attached to my youngest son's larger house and we share the laundry room. I usedto do my laundry when my daughter-in-law was at work, but now she works from home so we have to coordinate our laundry schedule. No big deal though, because I don't have much laundry any more, like I used to with FIVE children.

@IreneVincent I prefer my clothes hung outside - we're lucky our weather allows it! And ... you'll laugh at this, after reading your post I rushed off and attacked my housework with the energy of a mad woman!

Everything that has to do with housework which I cannot avoid and love everything that has to do with the PC.

I knew housework would probably be at the top of the list. The problem with housework is that it is NEVER done. You have to keep doing it over and over again every week.

It was everything when I was on the job! Sometimes the daily grind of routine and monotony can become tedious and boring.
