I Used To Be That Girl...

So it seems like some of my high school classmates are unaware that people change and maybe that's the only constant thing in this world because whenever they see another classmate who used to be untidy, not so pretty or poor and then suddenly became the opposite, the disbelief is always painted in their faces and the funny thing is, their words of appreciation were so sweet you could cry but action is always louder than words so it didn't really reach anywhere but their tongues. Sad.
They wanna see you do good but never better than them. How very sad.

Yes, you're right! Many don't want you to be better than them or vice versa then jealously kicks in. I don't hang out with many people from high school anymore though so I don't mind :)

It's really a sad thing. Instead of being happy for others, some get so bitter. My goodness.

@annastasiaaaaaa true. It is a very negative trait, and i think that is one of the reasons why the progress of our country at bay. But i am happy for you that you have changed for the better, and i think it would be pretty funny to see the reactions you are getting from your former classmates.

@Yadah04 our family had a very challenging life back then so mom and dad barely afford a new uniform, bags or shoes but I was okay with, never complained about anything. Our lives gradually change for the better because my parents manage to own a school abroad but the only thing I guess that these specific classmates remember is the girl I used to be. We go to school and strive harder for us to have a better life but people will not truly applaud us for that especially if we happened to have a way better life than they have at present.

It sounds as if you are satisfied with the ways you have changed and that is a good thing.

@annastasiaaaaaa bad times tells about the real good people in life. I feel we should all go through some bad phase, so we get to know, who actually is there for us.

Yes, very true! Some of the friends that you thought were true ended up disappointing you too. That's a sad part of life. Very very few people are indeed happy when we're doing well in life.

I am honestly happy for those classmates who do well in their lives now. It's just sad that there are people who still see you as the high school classmate they had long time ago, especially in a negative perspective.

Well that's how life is dear.... A bunch of roses with a few thorns as well.... The option is ours.... weather we enjoy the red roses or let the scare of those keep us away from them.... But it is really amazing to see you do good in life....I feel for you and my appriciations.... People who can't see good on your doing well are a mere eyewash. ...better to just let them be and you carry on. ...
The journey is still not over.... so keep conquering and shining.... Happiness Always.... :)
