I want to get my hair highligted. Is it a good idea?

I am planning to get few highlighted streaks in my hair, a golden shade which will match good with my brown hair. Not many, just few of them.
Is it a good idea? I have heard its not good for hair, as it causes premature greying. So i am in two minds.
what my friends here have to say? please suggest.

If it suits you then go for it! I support you all the way! Just make sure to take care of your hair everyday.

@shaynas Guess what? I always think of that if I go to the parlor and decided to color my hair and turned out that it doesn't suit me. Hahahaha

@annastasiaaaaaa It's a big dilemma. You want to and are scared of the result. I have never been an experimental person with my looks, i have pretty maintained same style for how long i remember, so it's very daring for me to do this.

You could go for it. If you go for highlighting few streaks of your hair, I don't think, it will cause your hair to turn grey, sooner than later.
You should not be afraid to do such things, after all it is your life and you need to find out the ways and means to keep yourself happy.

I am hoping it suit me :) I have never done anything like that in past, so not sure.
