@DianneN How is your husband? I have seen your reply on a comment that he is a bit better now. I wish him to get well soon.

Thanks Anna. To us, too, family is everything. My sons help me when they are here by putting leftovers away and loading the dishwasher. My husband used to help, but can't now.

@LadyDuck Thanks for asking. He is at therapy right now and will continue in Florida. He is a tiny bit better. He can drive one car, but can't lift too many things. One arm has more range of movement, but no strength. The other arm has little range of movement, but more strength. He had feed himself, but needs my help toweling off after a shower and dressing. The surgeon told him it could take another 6-9 months before he recovers. It is very frustrating to us both. I know I will have to put our carry-on bags in the overhead compartments when we leave for Florida. I hope I can manage!

@DianneN My parents are off cruising atm, they should hopefully get there sometimes earlier next year. I will be in Gothenburg, so cold

You are so funny! Thank you. Yes, family is very important, especially a loving one. I'm sure yours is, too. I just texted my brother to see if he arrived safely. He told me he was too busy to talk. Hurumph!

@DianneN That's no fair that your brother said that to you. But where there is love they do not beat about the bush but say what they have to say straight on.

@allknowing I'm sure he was busy getting his condo cleaned, unpacking, and dealing with the cable company to get his internet and TV back on. We'll be busy doing that tomorrow, too. Never a dull moment there.

@DianneN It really makes it hard during the holidays, doesn't it? We are usually the ones that have to do the traveling because my son is a pastor and can't always leave. Unfortunately we won't be able to go this year

Same with me. I do get to see one son much more, because he lives much closer.

@DianneN Yes, carpet cleaning, tile scrubbing and I really should get the curtains cleaned. I have to make it look like 12 people really do not live here and all my kids are perfect and clean up after themselves and each other hahha

I know you have a wonderful family. I now have to wash the tiles on the lanai. My husband swept it, then vacuumed it. Ugh! I so dislike cleaning, but it has to get done!

@deadreak Of course. Unfortunately, I know a few people, well one, who doesn't get along with the family. But knowing that person, I can see why the family doesn't care.

They are smart! Not only can they enjoy the great weather, but have an investment as well. We bought a condo and this will be our 4th season. We return April 5.

Thats so sad @DianneN I'm so sorry you lost her so early.

You are lucky to have had your mom reach 99. Mine passed when she was only 62. It still breaks my heart.

Lol! Very funny! It is sunny and warm. Come on down! I'm happy you enjoy your family. It surprises me how many have problems and don't speak to each other.

Yes, some parts of Florida get pretty darn cold. We are in Southern Florida, so it rarely gets cool. Last year we had one cold day of 66 degrees. The Floridians wore parkas! Lol!
