Childre nowadays are so completely different than in the 70s, 80s, or probably 90s. In terms of being productive for a day, most of them would play outside with their friends, or be outside just to do something fun. Now they become more lazy and sit in their computers or gadgets the whole day. Just stuck in the house playing video games or watch the television. It got me thinking if ever the advancement of technology was slower, would kids before would do the same thing now?
What are your thoughts about the children in the present?
70s-90s kids, What are your thoughts about this?

I agree. Like in the Philippines, most rural areas didn't have electricity back then, so children before gets bored easily, so what they do either play games, or try to catch something like spiders, fireflies, even frogs. or maybe play cards, not for gambling though, merely just for fun like giving out dares or somethin like that.

@surfstar95 I prefer to be outdoors over being online but most times of the year it is to chilly for me to be outside.

As a person who was born in the 90s but grew up with all this technology. NO children have not become lazy. PARENTS are the ones that are lazy. They hand a child a handheld device and that is that. They do not tell their child to go outside and play, they do not give them toys to go play with. NO it is not the children. Children play with what they are given. How can you blame a child for how they are raised? Parents can't be blamed for everything because they are working and busy and tired. But it is not far to blame the kids. I had a computer as a child, I had video games. But my mom told me to go outside and play. Her and I would play games together outside or I would have friends to play with. Because she told me to. Even as a teenager I still went outside even though I had my video games, computer, phone. I still enjoyed it because that was how I was raised.

Woah, I didn't say I blamed children nowadays. This was merely an observation. We may have different point of views because we live in different places but I never said I blamed anyone. I was born in the 90s as well. I had my own fair share of experiences of technology. This was an interrogative not a direct statement.
i completely concur with your opinion. Parent nowadays are the problem. They are too busy with their work or stuff and they forget to give their children attention and instead they give them gadgets because they have no time to give them. I had many friends who are like that but what happened to them, they went rebellious because they lack the attention from their parents who had not much time with them.
