Christmas traditions I have been missing

Two things that I always looked forward to at Christmas but have not done in many years have jumped back onto my agenda this year. I have not been able to work for 14 years due to illness and since that time I have not had proper Turkey dinner out at a restaurant with friends or got involved in a Secret Santa present buying circle. This year a bunch at the pub just decided to so the a secret santa, with picking names and not telling the others who you got, it's been great and in a couple of weeks odd and inappropriate presents will reign down. I have als got into contact with some old school friends and we went to a pub on Friday for a traditional Turkey dinner, with crackers, hats and Xmas pud. It was so nice and I realised how I had missed it all these years. How about you, anything you have got back into doing at Christmas after a long gap

I would love to go out caroling. Many years ago I went out with a bunch of people in our neighborhood. The people we caroled to loved our performance. I miss that.

Shopping on the main square. That's all the small mom and pop shops are. My mother and I would go every year have lunch and spend the day together. I really miss doing that.
