From Deserts to Grasslands

Allan Savory is a pioneer in the field of reversing the process that turned once plush grasslands into deserts and helping at the same time, the process of reversing global warming. It would be one of the finest hours in our history if this process were top priority of our own US Government. To learn about more just look at my link from NPR dot org, below:
There is a video there for you to see from TED radio hour and NPR
Wouldn't it be funtastimundo if we could turn the deserts back into forests and grasslands and help undo the damages done? I certainly like this idea.
Give me your take on this subject if you want.
About two-thirds of the world's grasslands have turned into desert. Allan Savory believes that a surprising method can protect grasslands and even reclaim degraded land that was once desert.

Actually I think they can reverse the deserts into grasslands. But it is a process and will take time. I think this would be awesome to fight against global warming. And it should be top priority for this government and any other governments.

@enlightenedpsych2 Is it natural or manmade. What ever, why lay down and die. We have been creatures who had to fight from day one. Why is this different one way or another. I really do not want to die of thirst. Say it is a bad way to go.

@lookatdesktop It is possible and I heard they are looking into doing that soon. That would be a good thing for all humanity.

And one of my very best friends told me an idea he had to bring back life to the deserts, by adding mulch and compost from the edge of the desert and work at moving inward to the desert until eventually all of that sand would be replaced by doable dirt.

It definitely makes sense that world governments undertake this project and make it a priority. We only have one Earth and we should do everything in our power to take care of it.

Sad but true @lookatdesktop . Governments aren't looking for our welfare. Instead, they are protecting big businesses

This could be one of the most important climatary achievments known in our modern times.
What a brilliant thing this would be to happen.

I even think the concept of making space habs that orbit earth that would produce cities that float or rather, orbit the earth or mars. The concept of a self contained human habitat is made very believable in the latest Star Trek movie Beyond

They have adapted to changes over the millennia. They will manage quite well.

The only issue I would have to complain about is, if Trump decided to turn them into golf courses with resort hotels. lol

I had similar ideas (just ideas that swirl around in my head) - and I agree with a lot of this. The further away we've gotten from nature, the faster we've gotten towards global warming. In other words, we shouldn't have messed with nature . . . but now here we are. It's time to "undo" and get back to what nature intended . . . if only we can undo the way humans think these days.
