My man Robbie Fulks has a new name.
GRAMMY NOMINEE Robbie Fulks.
His brilliant Upland Stories album has been nominated for "Best Folk Album," and the opening song, "Alabama At Night," is nominated for "Best Roots Music Song."
So you just remember where you heard about him first....right here on myLot.
Congrats, Robbie.

Yes! I think this may be his label's first nominations, too.
For a long time indie record labels didn't get nominations. Now that they only show 10 out of 84 awards on TV now, however, they can go ahead and nominate the deserving, NOT the ratings grabbers.

@JohnRoberts -- depends on if people listen or just vote for the name they recognize. If the latter is the case the winners will be Jack White and Judy Collins.
