Silly postcard shapes again

Novel shaped postcard

During my recent trip to Fuengirola in Spain I took a train journey along the coast to Torremolinos. As usual I kept a look out for postcards while I was there, which were quite abundant. After selecting postcards I called in a café while I wrote them out and then dropped them into a post box. Shortly after mailing them I chanced upon these unusual shaped examples. If only I had seen these first I could have sent them instead, whereas it necessitated sending a second batch because I could not overlook the opportunity. Postcards can be quite elusive in many places these days, so finding novelties of this calibre always seems a great discovery. Sadly there was a very limited variety available, which means that I had to duplicate a couple. Nevertheless I am sure that they will make a welcome addition to collections.

Those are really unusual Postcards to sell over here. I live over the other side of Spain and they are really hard to get even the most normal ones. Glad you had a nice time too. Its a lovely place to be in.

Many places outside of tourist resorts seem to stock very few postcards these days.

@Asylum This is the North where I am you see but over the other side of Spain there are much more choices than here. To get the nearest place that sells them that is if they do I would have to go Seven miles in the Car.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I must have been around there over 20 years ago with my husband. We rented a car and went to and fro in all Andalucía. I loved it and would love to go again. But I would have to get someone to drive. One of my grandsons is studying flamenco guitar in Sevilla, se I might ask my eldest daughter to go with me.

Torremolinos is a wonderful place too Margi. See if you can pop over one of these days or at least see it on youtube as the Town Halls do dvds of their areas and you can see them on there too.

@Asylum I have never seen postcards like this. I think to remember that I have seen jigsaw puzzle postcards that were not too bad.

@moffittjc It would be a little clumsy as a business card because it would not fit so easily into a wallet.

@Asylum About 20 years ago I received a business card that was similarly shaped. It was from a professional speaker, and she definitely came up with an intricately-designed business card that ensured she stood out from the rest!

It is a little above standard size, which is really necessary in order to provide sufficient room to address and write on it.

@Jeanniemaries I did buy an extra one to take home as a souvenir. Being larger it will now cause you the old problem of accommodating it in your book. If I keep finding inconvenient shapes for storage, you will soon learn to hate me.

They must not produce them like they used to. This is a great shape if it is for Ireland. Hehe
