Did I make a wrong choice?

coffee

Today I had a discussion about getting a free cup of coffee because it is from a vending coffee machine promotion in my office building. There are many types of coffee there, such as Moka, Cappuccino, Espressino and so on. I chose Moka and my colleague said I was stupid. As she thought I should choose the most expensive coffee as it is free of charge I didn't feel regretful to my choice since it is important that I like to drink that coffee.

No matter how expensive, if you don't like it then it is worthless.

I agree. I can't see any sense in choosing something you don't like.

@JudyEv If I chose a cheaper coffee, it might even drive my colleague crazy

Get what you want! Tell her she's stupid for being so mean to you.

I am generous, so I don't really mind that she laughed at me about this.

If you are allowed to taste only once then perhaps you are right about your choice.

@youless I'd get the most expensive option too 'if' I know it'll be good :) If it isn't going to be good then I probably wouldn't try! Not always 'expensive' is good too!

You made the choice that was right for you so how can it be the wrong choice? It wasn't nice of your friend to call you stupid because of your choice.

It doesn't make a sense I will choose the most expensive coffee since it is free of charge. What if I don't like drinking it?

I agree, I never care if something is expensive or cheap, the important is that I like it.

This is also how I buy things. At first I should like it. Then I will see whether the price is fine.

Since it contains chocolate, so it tastes better for me. I am not a person who really knows how to taste the great coffee. As long as it is not bitter, I will like it

If it is free anyway the most important thing is whether you enjoy it or not. Why would you have something you don't particularly like even if it is free? I find it very hard to understand her reasoning.

@youless Perhaps it does but it is free so really the price doesn't, or shouldn't, matter.

I also thought about this. Your friend got mad because you didn't get the more expensive one? Welll... .... it was free for you right? So you got Moka..it was free. If you got Cappuccino...it would of been free. If you got Espression...the price would of been what? FREE! THEY WERE ALL FREE! If she got one, she paid as much as you did! So...who's the stupid one now!?

We can also have our first cup of coffee free of charge. I chose the type of coffee that I like, and she chose the most expensive coffee and that's why she thought I was not smart

Pick the one you want to. Don't get obsessed with price (which is not equal to quality).

Haha. She makes since though since it is free of charge. But what still matters is your choice since you'll he the one to drink it.

Your way of choosing is good..... Why to spend money on something which we don't like?? ....instead spending it on something we like is a wise thing........Why would any one prefer food which is of high cost rather than going with what they like....

Even if it is free you should get the kind of coffee that you want.

@youless - If that coffe machine being "promoted" is a new machine, you probably should have waited a few days for the manufacturing oils and the dirt to wash out of the thing before you drank that "free" coffee. -Gus-

I am not so afraid of it since it is not the first promotion day already. I am not the one who rush to it since it is free. I think this vending coffee machine already made thousands of coffee in these few days

I think our liking should be more important than the cost...I can love a thing that can cost only a few pennies bit still I love it the most

No you did a good choice, what you choose that what you said most expensive and in the you don't like it. Better to to choose what really you want rather than choosing according to price.
