My Post Card Arrived in Japan

United States

Since I’ve joined Postcrossings.com recently, I’ve been sending out post cards to persons in different countries and after 26 days, traveling 6,658 miles my post card arrived in Japan yesterday. I have sent out about ten postcards so far, but have not received any yet, except from my friends here on myLot. NONE have come to me from the Postcrossings connection. I’m a little disappointed about that but I guess I just have to be patient. Hopefully, I will start receiving post cards from other persons. I’m new to Postcrossings so I guess it takes time to get the exchange of post cards going. I actually haven’t been to the Post Office for several days now, so maybe there will be something there in my box. I might run over to the Post Office today and check. The sun is shining and the sky is blue. The rain has moved on but the temperature is in the 40s F . I wanted to get a few posts up today on myLot, so I’m trying to get that done first. It’s Pearl Harbor Day today, so I’m sure there will be a lot of news about that on TV. I recorded two specials about Pearl Harbor yesterday and I haven’t seen them yet. I will probably look at those this evening. It’s been 75 years and some of the survivors are still alive and have been interviewed. It’s interesting to hear what they have to say.

It's a site that assists you in exchanging post cards with other people around the world. I just joined so I haven't started receiving any post cards yet, but I've sent out quite a few. I'm waiting patiently to start receiving post cards from different people in other countries. Check it out. You can go to the site and learn about how it works. I will just be happy when I start seeing some results, but others who have been members for a longer time assure me that it's a GREAT hobby for them and that they have received MANY cards, so I hope that is what will start happening for me.

Pearl Harbour was a long time ago. I don't think it has been forgotten about the way some incidents have been forgotten.
