And now for something happy!

About ten years ago I had a job I didn't particularly like. One day a motivational speaker visited and we were required to attend his lecture. I entered the room a skeptic but that lecture changed my life! The basic premise was--you determine the course of your life with the attitude you choose. You don't wake up and wonder what the day will bring, you tell yourself you're going to have a great day-and you will! If someone asks how you are, you tell them you are fantastic--and you will be! I was doubtful but as the days went by and I practiced choosing my attitude, my life began to get better.
Today I choose my attitude before I get out of bed in the morning and I choose to have a great day. My life has been much happier since I heard that speaker and practiced his techniques. I even got the chance to thank him for changing my life a few months after the lecture.
Have you ever found something that changed your life for the better?

It's a good practice. I'm struggling mostly on how to feel much happier in life. I feel discontented. I know I should change my thoughts towards good and positive thinking.

You will find that it makes a difference. If you say something often enough you'll believe it. You'll begin to wake up happy in the morning and start to see problems as opportunities rather than disasters. It takes some practice but it's worth it. I've also found that I no longer attract unhappy people or those who are look for people to take advantage of. That's an added bonus!

I just try to accept things as they are, and go with the flow.

When my Dad passed away suddenly in his sleep 16 years ago it was devastating but it changed my life forever. It was then that I learned you never take life for granted. It can be gone in a instant. I learned to live every day of your life like it is your last. To life like to the fullest and have no regrets.
