I am French, and for a few months, we spoke many of the American elections in our country. I would like to know how you perceive the politics of our country as well as the politicians from our home.

I would not be so pessimistic than @maluse, many members have visited France, or at least Paris, and several have learned French at school and are interested by our culture. But I am afraid that French politics interests only French here.

It is of what I also think, but I would have wanted to have the certainty.

@lascience I used to be fascinated by French politics when I lived in Paris for a few years or so during the Mitterrand years. You will never find another president quite like him for a long time unfortunately. He had his faults of course, but he stands head and shoulders taller than any of today's breed of politicians in my opinion. None of the current candidates for the presidency fill me with hope, but the French people are resilient and you will survive.
