Fear of aging,is what people fear most

In this youth obsessed culture let us not forget the benefits of experience.
So you want to stay young?we have books, videos, that show us how to stay young. Then we have some saying I refuse to grow up?
Many people hang on to their youth.
We live in a culture that worships youth and treat old age like a disease.
I am not against youth.I love the energy t hat they have.I am a man of 86 but do not look my age which is fine. But it does not bother me at all.
You have have all the plastic surgery, lifts, etc.
But can you perform when you were young?of course not.Your sex life is not the same .Energy is not the same..Okay that is my beef.
Learn to accept your age as many do not.
Do you accept your age?then if not time to learn.
Fear of aging speeds the very decline we dread most. And it ultimately robs our life of any meaning. No wonder there's an attitude shift in the making.

I accept my age, it does not mean that the fear of aging does not exist, but it is more exactly a fear of aging "bad" and to not be able anymore to continue to live by myself, things like losing eyesight, the use of my legs or getting an Alzheimer decease...

WE donĀ“t have now the help we had years ago when families took care of their elder. I think they still do in The Philliphines.

You can imagine the depression I go through when I reached my 30th birthday because I love being on my 20's. I still look young for a 30 year old but growing some grey really freaked me out. if I can afford it I will have stem cell theraphy and telomerase therapy by now because I am so afraid of aging. if vampires are real I will let them bite my arm.

I have the same feeling too when I turned 30. I'm afraid of it how much more if I turn 50 or 60. My days on earth will be lesser and lesser

I'm going through a bit of the fear of aging. I turned 36 this year, and one day it hit me that I could be half way done with my life. I found that realization to be a bit startling.

I'm 62. I get up and shake out all the kinks and it's a good day. I don't mind my age at all.

I prefer to accept my age (whatever it is) than to turn into those pityful Peter Pans who will never grow up.

I'm past my mid 40s now . . . and I'm mostly ok with it. Sure I like the idea of being youthful for as long as I can, but I try to be real. There's no turning back the clock, but we can sure make the best of now and time ahead.

I am not looking forward to aging, but it is inevitable. It is part of this thing we call life.

It's a little too late to be afraid of aging when your 69! It is what it is and better than the alternative! I am only afraid of tornadoes and fires.

We should not fear aging. Instead, we ahould be thankful that another year has passed and our Creator still grant us a day to live.
I guess some people fear it because they are looking on their physical appearance. It is not bad but we have to accept that it is natural. We can do things to prevent it but we cant avoid it.

Last month, i m turned to 30. I accept my age. There are few ambition and task i have set for myself before i cross 50. As, year by year passing i m afraid of what if i could not do it before 50.
That's my biggest tension on my every birthday.
i got married at the age of 26, me and my husband planned for a baby after 2 years of marriage. We were so happy and feeling like that we are among the most happiest couple around the world.
After waiting for 8 and half months, we were very close to our biggest moment of our life. i wish i could carry my baby boy in my arms but during delivery i lost my baby due to the negligence and carelessness of the doctor and her staff.
Its been 2 year now, but we are still not blessed with baby as i m suffering through some internal infections.
There are many things happened in past 2 years that makes me very much uncomfortable.
but yes i do accept my age.!
