National Brownies Day / myLot

Today on December 8th is the National Brownie Day celebration. I don't think I will eat a brownie today as I have not baked any for a while. But how about you? Will you bake or buy a brownie from the bakery today? And when you eat a brownie, do you top it with vanilla ice cream? I do, I love my brownie with some vanilla ice cream on it, not too much. Today is also the day that John Lennon was assassinated in the year 1980. Also the day one of my nieces was born. Hard to believe that it has been 36 years already.

I make brownies once in a while as they are "too tempting" in the fridge. Excellent excuse to eat a brownie today tough.

I never make brownies because my husband does not like them. I do not know if I can find some to buy locally to celebrate the day.

I made some once many years ago and they were quite rubbish. A friend made some a few months ago and she brought some for us. I find them a tad too sweet for me.

If I had known I would have bought a brownie, I visited a chocolate store yesterday and bought a chocolate,,,but I missed the brownie day.

No brownies for me, sorry. We don't have that kind of practice here. It's an ordinary old day:)...and we are all on the go to finish things before the rains come down and there is flooding.

This is my idea of a proper day. Sadly the shops were closed by the time that I read this, otherwise I would certainly have celebrated the day.

I have been craving brownies for quite awhile but I no longer bake often. My 3 year old granddaughter and her mom live with me and I want her to grow up differently than I did. I always had a weight problem because there was a lot of baking in my house--but I was the only fat one! Treats were part of eating. I want treats to be rare with my GD, appreciated but rare and not craved. I hope I'm doing this right and she won't have a weight problem. Right now she prefers broccoli over sweets, thank God.

I make my own special brownies with a special recipe including coffee and milled linseed. They are amazing.I do love brownies topped with cream.

I only had time for breakfast out, and dinner at my brother's condo. He served French macaroons from our local bakery. I'm not much of a dessert eater, but do enjoy a good brownie.

I didn't know that December 8 is National Brownie Day in your country. Maybe, many of the people there bought brownies yesterday... Here in our Country, December 8 is the feast of Immaculate Conception. It is being celebrated all over the country..

Hey was not knowing about it.But one thing I know is I loveee brownie..Do not know how to bake.If you are a regular baker kindly suggest some easy n tasty recipes as I will be baking it for first time.
