A Book from Childhood Revisited.

For research on another project, I’ve been trying to locate an old poem, the title and author of which I do not recall. I thought I remember reading it in an old book I had as a kid, so I bought an old copy through Amazon Market Place. I remember loving this book as a kid. Flipping though it when I got it was a lot of fun.
I read again William Blake’s:
Tiger! Tiger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
Or a group of odd and (really) amusing epitaphs, like this one for a dentist:
Stranger, approach this spot with gravity:
John Brown is filling his last cavity.
There are also story poems, like “The Highwayman” by Alfred Noyes, made into a song by Loreena McKennitt
And still of winter’s night, they say, when the wind is in the trees,
When the moon is a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas,
When the road is a ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor,
A highwayman comes riding—
Riding—riding—
A highwayman comes riding, up to the old inn-door.
Over the cobbles he clatter and clang in the dark inn- yard.
And he taps with his whip on the shutter, but all is locked and barred:
he whistles a tune to the window, and who should be waiting there
But the landlord’s black-eyed daughter,
Bess, the landlord’s daughter,
Plaiting a dark red love-knot into her long black hair.
Oh, well. It’s a nice trip down memory lane. Is the book familiar to anyone else?
As for the poem that I bought the book for? I’m no closer to finding it.
Image is my own
The Highwayman by Loreena McKennitt from the album The Book of Secrets The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees The moon was a ghostly galleo...

I remember the tiger poem and kind of remember the highwayman. Do you remember anything from the poem you were looking for? I often remember a few words of a song or poem and put them into a search engine. I usually find what I'm looking for.

@puddleglum Thanks.I'll check those out as just to eliminate them, though I don't think they're the one I'm looking for. The author could be the always prolific anonymous. You've given me some more places to check, though. Thank you.
