The Lights Were Lovely

Hubby picked me up from work and we went out to see the new car, but no one is at home until tomorrow for us to buy it.
The directions were a little strange so we wanted to make sure we could find it. It looks like a well kept auto.
After that we went out to Cracker Barrel for supper.
Our route back to the highway through Wichita, Kansas and Eldorado, Ks. let us see many lovely lights. Some were at churches and parks. Others were houses and farms.
It was a nice evening, with a little of the magic of childhood sprinkled in.

It needs some maintenance, but the heater works really well.

How nice! I am really missing not being able to go look at Christmas lights. It was always a tradition. No longer driving we won't be doing that this year.

Some local news stations also have light tours that they film and share. I hope you can enjoy the season.

We got it for a good price, and hubby can do most of the work it seems to need.

@Jessicalynnt I have seen older, in worse shape for sale for thousands of dollars. It just depends on how honest people are.

Some of the towns go all out as well. Even our little town is quite simple and lovely.

Much more interesting than just a highway.

I think we are the only house with lights within miles. Well, lots of people put lights up but never turn them on....I don't have a clue why.

Wow. I have not yet put up lights, we have been busy chasing after cars. You better believe that if I were to put up lights they would be on from Thanksgiving to Valentine's Day.

When in drive into town (about four miles) I pass a couple of houses where they have gone all out with their lights.
