Me - Some Favorites

Most of you know Snow is my biggest favorite. I would love to have it on my birthday, but for that I would need to go to the southern hemisphere. So other than Snow, I also have a few other favorites. 1. Christmas. There is only one other holiday that is equal to this one. 2. Easter. Tied with Christmas in importance in my life and a favorite. 3. Christmas Music. There is nothing other than Snow that will put a smile on my face faster than Christmas music. I wish the stores and radio played it year round. 4. Chocolate. There is nothing better than fudge at Christmas. Hot Chocolate is also wonderful for those wonderful cold days. I like anything chocolate, almost. I don't like nuts in my chocolate and I can't have peanuts, so those chocolate and peanut/peanut butter candies are out of the question for me. Otherwise anything chocolate. 5. KLOVE - For me the best radio station around. Plays uplifting Christian music around the clock. I'll start with those five. I'm sure there will be other favorites and as I think about them I'll post them under another post. The picture is my baby picture. Wasn't I cute? Yes, that is a perm. It was the only way my mom could get my hair to behave. I was 16 months when Mom gave me my first perm. So you know I'm over a year on this picture. I've enjoyed reading your favorites now it's my turn. Thanks for reading.

It's warmer when it snows than when the sun shines in winter. When the sun shines is when it's at it's coldest. No cloud cover to keep the warmth from escaping into the atmosphere.

@crazyhorseladycx That's a huge temp drop at night. We can get some big drops here in winter, but not like that.

Nice list but I can't get over the fact that you had your hair permed so young!! :)

My hair is like wire, stands straight up without some kind of help to tame it. Right now I have it as short as I dare, and even when I get it cut I have a section of hair that just stands straight up. It takes about three weeks before it's long enough to lay down like it should.

@JudyEv Yes it is. My daughter has fine hair. One Easter when she was three I think, I curled her hair. I took pictures of her with the rollers in, with the hair dryer on her head, and then I took out the rollers and combed her hair. All my efforts were fruitless, the curls just brushed out.

@just4him It's funny how everyone has such different hair. Mine wants to fall straight forward over my face. It is very fine and very, very straight.

I wish my favorite baby picture wasn't ruined or you would see why Mom permed my hair so young. It was a picture of me sitting on an end table in a slip with my hair standing on end like I had put my finger in a light socket. Without a perm my hair is like wire. Though I have been wearing it straight for a number of years now. I like it better than being permed all the time.

@LadyDuck It must be something about the milk chocolate that causes them.

Thank you. Dark chocolate is good for you and it's better for me. Milk chocolate tends to give me migraines or headaches bridging on migraines. Dark chocolate doesn't do that.

I have no idea how I did it. I was too young to remember. Mine too. Just listening to it puts a smile on my face. Add snow to the mix and it's a perfect day, like today was.

@DianneN Yes she did, until I was old enough to choose what I liked. Then our tastes grew wide apart. She wanted to keep me in calf length skirts when mini skirts were the fashion. I didn't go quite that short, but I did like my dresses above the knee not below it.

You are looking really cute in this picture. I also love chocolate. It is one thing that I don't like sharing even with my son. Hope you enjoy your Christmas with your hot chocolate.

I love your picture! I always enjoy looking at baby photos and recently I showed some photos of my young self to my son and wow is he not impressed cos the photos are faded and we all look strange (to him). But I guess that's normal for kids not to appreciate old things, its only older folks like me that will always think about the "good old days". Chocolate is definitely an all-time favourite for me, regardless of the form it comes in!

Thank you. I think I felt the same way when I was a kid. When I looked at the picture before I took a picture of it, I saw my mom in my face.
