Dead. These are my favorite songs with "Dead" in the title. It might seem a bit morbid, but #7 sure ain't: "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo.
Led by vocalist and guitarist Danny Elfman (you know the name. He does The Simpsons theme,) Oingo Boingo formed in Los Angeles in 1972 as The Mystic Knights of Oingo Boingo. A fun, quirky, ska influenced new wave band, they remained active until 1995, when Elfman began focusing full time on his TV and film work. The band is well known for the theme song from the movie Weird Science, appearing on the soundtrack for Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and performing in the Tom Hanks film Bachelor Party.
(Fun Wikipedia Fact: Oingo Boingo once appeared on The Gong Show, which they won!)
The title track from their 1985 album, "Dead Man's Party" is a fun, high energy dance tune that the band performed in a scene in the Rodney Dangerfield movie Back to School. And yet, I can find no evidence that it ever charted, despite it's popularity. Billboard, All Music Guide, Wikipedia, nothing. Someone help me out here, because that can't be right.
Dead Man's Party synched to Nightmare and Corpse Bride. Enjoy! Oh, and I know Henry Selick directed Nightmare. Tim Burton conceptualized and produced. My bad.

BTW, I looked it up in the Whitburn after I got home. No, Oingo Boingo never had a song hit the Billboard pop charts.

Shameful. I'm going to have to start using this Whitburn.

@teamfreak16 -- Whitburns are the go-to source for music geeks. Pricey....and worth every penny. I have two: pop hot 100 and country singles charts (if that surprises you ).

Nevertheless, they still have a greatest hits CD called Best o'Boingo. It's fantastic! "Not My Slave" is my favorite Boingo track

Yeah, Oingo Boingo's "Goodbye, Goodbye" is the song over the closing credits of Fast Times At Ridgemont High. It's obvious that Danny Elfman is primarily a soundtrack music creator now. Obviously, with this song and so many of the other films that O.B. music appeared in, he's quite good at it!!

I bet he makes more money doing soundtracks than he made with Oingo Boingo. Yeah, I'd say he's quite good at it.
