Oh, Tonight's Spectacular Moon!

I love a full moon. No matter where I am in the world, I always think that someone at home can see the same moon as I.
Our younger son called us tonight through FaceTime, just as I pointed out the spectacular moon to my husband. I asked our son if he had seen how huger and bright it was. He replied, "I don't care about the moon." I was shocked and dismayed.
I love the way it twinkles on the water and makes it look like liquid diamonds. I was so upset with my son, that I refused to show him how large and bright it was.
Were you able to see tonight's moon?
I hope it's not lopsided.

I didn't see the moon last night even if went home a bit later than most days because i went to the malls and searched for a new blouse . That's because before that it drizzled , so that's why maybe .
I think your son is in a sour mood that's why he said that . When i see a full moon , i feel so happy too and i feel romantic too.

@DianneN You know what? I'm going to get dressed and go out to see if I can see the moon. I'll let you know in a few minutes. You made me think of the movie with Cher and there was a big moon. What was the name of that movie? I can't think of the title.

@DianneN No can see! It was sunny today but now it is cloudy. Yes, that's the movie!
My favorite moon scene. Including the bedroom scene and the Italian monologue to the dogs done by the old man. IMDB Details http://www.imdb.com/title/tt00935...

It's perfectly right side up and beautiful. Yes, I saw the big beautiful moon. I thought it looked bigger than the super moon we had a couple months ago.
Shame on your son for not liking the moon. It does look dazzling on the water.

@just4him I wouldn't be in Florida if I couldn't live on the water. Val, I have over 438 notifications. I'm sick over it. I don't have time, but I'm trying. Forgive me for not stopping by more often. Every day we have errands to do. I'm exhausted and almost wish I were back in CT!

i also saw the moon, so big that i thought it was a light bulb behind the tall trees' branches and leaves. when it was time toi reveal itself for full moon, alas! there was rain and the clouds hid the moon.

@DianneN yes indeed. i am a nature lover, and even the pitch black night sans the moon and stars awe me (especially when we had no electricity after October 19th), and more so when the Milky Way galaxy is so visible even without the moon.

My daughter is the one who pointed out the moon while we were out driving a little while ago! I love the moon over the water in your photo . . . in a way I guess it's kinda like my avatar except that mine is the sun . Maybe one day your son will appreciate our beautiful moon!

@DianneN I haven't been able to capture any moon shots either. When we went to Big Bear over the summer, the stars were just sparkly in the dark sky (unlike how it is in the city), but I was unable to get that shot. Maybe your son does enjoy the moon like we do, but perhaps he had other thoughts at the moment . . . he just didn't care about the moon at that particular time.

I always loved your avatar. There is nothing prettier than a sun or moon glistening over water. My photo doesn't do the moon justice. I used my crummy iPad. I was surprised that my son didn't care about the moon. He is so into details and loves art.

Unfortunately, it's really cloudy tonight up here in Gainesville, so I can't see tonight's moon. But I got a great view of it last night, and it was spectacular. I never grow tired of admiring a beautiful full moon! It's funny that I came across your post on this when I did, because not more than 10 minutes ago a friend of mine who lives in Port St. Lucie texted me a photo of the moon that looks amazing similar to your picture!

I love your photos, I like the glittering water. I didn't realize it was a full moon until this morning. I got a shot a while ago, it was lovely.

I've always been a huge fan of a full moon @DianneN . I can't believe your son reacted like that. I wound up going to the ER and by the time I came back out, the clouds had ruined the visual of the moon. Dang it! Did you see the comet display that was supposed to happen before dawn this morning?

One can't help loving a full moon. My son was in a crummy mood. I'm so sorry to hear you had to go to the ER! I hope you are okay! I hope you saw the moon tonight. It looked just as beautiful. Unfortunately, I was asleep for many hours after dawn and missed it. You can't expect me to stay up late moon gazing and getting up early to watch comets! Lol!

That's a lovely photo, the halo above the moon is alluring. I took a walk last night under the light of the full moon. Wet leaves dripped the days catch of water down my back but I didn't care as it felt so wonderful.
