Can't download music videos

A neighbor called and request us to download a song from you-tube. There was this website I used to download you-tube videos straight from the site. I have download videos but I guess they didn't include any music in it. Because last time I download were from fitness videos before and it showed great help to me because I don't need to check on the site. What I did was I brought up speakers and while the video play was being played I recorded it using my android phone, then transferred it to my laptop, then to USB. Youtube is very much afraid to get sued which I realized now. Any one who has other ways of downloading music videos?
