I've forgotten my new subject for a discussion!

I thought of a good discussion to post on myLot early this morning, set up the discussion starter and sometime during the day, my page holding the discussion disappeared!
I can't remember the subject or what caused me to think about the subject. Both of which I had written into the new discussion... sigh!
Have you had this happen to you? SMH!

Yeah, I tried the thinking thing as soon as I realized my discussion was gone... It didn't help!
Thank you, though. I appreciate the suggestion...

LOL! Of course you are, Manisha! SMH!
I've always trusted my electronics to keep my notes safe for me. I keep everything filed in special folders in one folder on my desktop... the problem there is that I have three computers, six tablets and currently two phones sharing my queen size bed. I never remember which desktop I put one particular note onto! LOL!

@infatuatedbby You and me, both! I was laying here in bed when I thought of something important to write about... I set up the discussion and saved it so I could start it when I got home this evening.... And it is gone! SMH!

You, too, Wendy?
Oh, my, maybe I should just use Baby DE as my avatar, now? Not a chance!
I know what would happen if I did that! You and vanny would have a hey day "mothering him"!

Yeah, I suspected as much, vanny!
I am very happy to see you haunting my discussions again! I was starting to worry about you! (Yes, I remember you said you were waiting in lines for money, but it would only take two trips to the bank to empty both my accounts! I also remembered you saying your internet was acting up, too.)

@DaddyEvil .. No DE...it is not something like going to bank and withdrawing...even if we have monies in our account, we can't withdraw beyond a specified limit per week, and banks do not have enough cash to give even that specified sum..:(
Yesterday I went, and returned empty handed...the most frustrating thing is ..you stand more than an hour in that boring queue, and then before you reach the teller, you are told you may leave as cash is over. That is what happened. I also have to withdraw for aunt you know ...she is 83. Extremely frustrating period...still I will back my prime minister because if he gets hold of all tax evaders, we are going to improve.

@vandana7 Then if that is the purpose of going cashless, vanny, then I hope everything works out for your country.
You know, you could download an app on your phone like Wattpad and read books while standing in line. I do that or play solitaire on my phone instead of being bored!
BTW, Raja said you have to sign into Whatsapp and verify your account before I can send you texts or call you. Please do that, vanny.
Thank you!

Yeah, I understand that... I don't have to like it, though.
(It really pisses me off that the page just went "flick" and was gone as I started to submit the discussion! I must have accidentally touched the wrong key, but IDK what I touched that would make it vanish like that!)

Maybe if you didn't take days to get a photo or video, pgn? Or if you didn't have a young one at home to "help" you forget?
Just one of the joys of growing up, I'm afraid!

@pgntwo I know that, pgn... but it seemed funnier to me to claim it took you a while to respond when you were looking for videos or pics! (It doesn't take long for me to do research for people on myLot, normally... still seems funny that is can take some people a long time to find what they want though, to me!)

@vandana7 They do help me, when I remember to only use ONE desktop instead of whichever electronic device I happen to be using when I think of some good topic for myLot! (That's where I went wrong on that one. I simply can't remember which of 11 devices I posted a note to myself about the topic!)

If a subject strikes me, I try to start a post as soon as possible or I jot it down somewhere. I start limited posts, therefore, there are less chances of forgetting the subject.

@DaddyEvil I feel that problem occurred because you have too many devices and you were not able to recall, where you should start.
PS - I know you start new posts occasionally.

@dpk262006 Yes, you are right. I usually only have one computer up and running at a time, but once in a while I have all devices running. I cannot recall now, which device I was using on myLot when I started the discussion and saved it.
I can't find it, now, but some of my devices are set to auto-clean when idle, so could have lost it that way.

(grinning at you!) I don't write that many posts, dpk! If I cut down on them any more, I won't write any!
I do understand what you mean, though! If I don't keep track, I will forget what I want to talk about and change the entire topic while starting with the same premise!

I think this pretty much happens to me on a daily basis! At various points throughout the day, some random thought will pop into my head, or some event will happen around me, and the lightbulb goes off in my head and I'll be like "Aha! I need to write about this on myLot when I get home from work tonight!" And then I'll promptly forget what it was I was going to write about. I've gotten better about jotting a quick note down in my Notes app on my phone, but then I'll forget to look it up when I get home, and then a week later I'll remember that I wrote a note to myself. When I open up the Notes app, whatever it is I wrote down usually doesn't make any sense to me at that point in time, or I'll read it and go, that would have been a stupid thing to write about!

Did you know that sometimes you can locate that discussion by just hitting the discuss tab on the top of the page assuming you'd not already strayed too far from the page you left it on? I've had it where I'd forgotten and closed that tab entirely. By then it's too late to prod it back into existence.
I've awakened with ideas before and even come up with great titles, but by the time I get to the computer those titles have eluded me.

@MarshaMusselman Unfortunately, this is happening to me more and more often of late. I have been doing my best to grumble under my breath, give your solution a try and then consigning myself to writing the whole comment/response from scratch. (sadly shaking my head!)

@DaddyEvil Are you saying that technique isn't working? I've had it work before for responses and comments too when I've noticed before moving to a different page that something didn't take.
With bubblews, I used to copy my posts and comments before submitting just in case they got lost and that's fairly simple to get in the habit of doing if necessary. Maybe you need to let bugs know in case it's something he can twiddle with.

@DaddyEvil Someone shared that with me last year and it works. My problem is that when I get flustered when the page gets lost and forget to try that before shutting the tab. I only did that once though, that I remember. Comments and responses work in much the same way, generally, although I don't think I've had to do that too much in the recent past so I'm not sure anymore.

When I do that instead of immediately writing the discussion, I usually look at what I wrote and delete it because I don't think anyone else will think it is interesting.

@ridingbet I interact with people all over myLot! I write so few posts that most people aren't used to me writing anything, so they have stopped looking to see if I wrote something new.
I still have a decent amount of traffic on every thread I do write, though.
