Last night , December 14 , my high school batchmates and I , met at the restaurant of Tyche Hotel here in Legazpi City .
We had our Christmas party and our guests are the 2 sisters as you can see in the picture , who were the superiors managing the all girls high school we went to then.
They came for a visit to our former high school , since they are now assigned at a sister school in Manila. So we invited them.
We had fun talking with them and seeing them old and now mellowed , since before they were really strict and of course thin.
They were sent off by a former batchmates who met us again to the bar of the lone grade school boy classmate present as you can also see in the picture .
It’s was a very fun night once again .
I think this is the 3rd party I had for December , more will be coming .
Had you had a party already for December ?

How nice to have a Christmas party/reunion - glad you had a fun time! You are just a party girl this month ! The only parties right now are the ones my kids go to - for school or at their friends' - and soon we will meet up with the parents in our group to have a get together.

@LadyDuck One time hubby said somebody praised me for being pretty and sexy as well as well mannered . He said he just didn't tell me because my head would swell .
So , i understand now why he never praises me vocally .
Wow, 96 and yet still bossy .

You are really lucky that you had this kind of union and you could meet your classfellows and two 2 sisters, who used to teach you. It would have been a memorable experience for all of you to relive the old memories.
I had no occasion to attend any such party in December.

@SIMPLYD - Yes, you are right that as we grow older we get to understand the importance of such unions and meeting our old friends/pals. It is good idea on your part to arrange such get together.
We do not celebrate Christmas as such as our religion is different, however, we don't mind going to a Church and we love the Christmas cake and festivity. One of my colleagues is a Christian, she would bring Christmas cake for me on every Christmas.

We all know the importance of gathering together specially now that we are older . So , every now and then when someone from our bath who lives abroad comes home for a vacation , we have dinner or lunch and some catching up .
Before , we hire a private room and do videoke . It was so much fun . I hope we will have that too again in the future .
I suppose there you don't practice celebrating Christmas as the predominant religion there isn't Catholic .

I always like to share to everyone that even though my batchmates and i are getting old , we like to gather every now and then , eat and share stories. It's as if we haven't grown old that much .
Merry Christmas to you too , my dear friend . I am happy i have friend like you from the other part of the world .

@crossbones27 That's okay . That's the reality of life . Each one of us has his own time to leave this world.
So that's why whenever there's an invitation to a party with friends , i really would go , Enjoy life to the fullest , as they say .

It always is . So that's why when the coordinator of our batch , the one standing at the leftmost , beside the one with eyeglasses , invites because someone from abroad comes home or whatever occasion the batch would like to celebrate , as much as i can , i attend . Life is short , so we should live it to the fullest .

Your party sounds nice! I'm happy you had a good time. I haven't been to any Christmas parties this year yet. SUpposed to go to one tomorrow but I may not. It's supposed to be pretty nasty outside

Indeed , it was an enjoyable one.
So , was the weather nasty still ? It's sad that because of that you weren't able to attend the party .
I always like attending parties , whatever is the occasion being celebrated . But Christmas party tops it all because of the raffles and gifts being given away .

yes , we remembered them so we invited them when our coordinator came to know that they are here in Legazpi for a visit .
The male classmates are for the grade schools. I am just from 1st to 4th year , since it is all girls for highschool . So basically they are not my batchmates but by my other batchmates who started elementary until high school there .

Thank you .
Well , i guess when one is retired and is just at home , if not for a party given by relatives or an organization you are into , you will not be able to attend any Christmas party other than the party of the house on noche buena .
