We talk about healthy diet and recommend to each other that we should take healthy diet. In your views which is the one snack which you consider unhealthy and don't feel like taking it at any cost. I try to avoid deep fried stuff, as it could cause digestion trouble.

Any deep fried dish or snack is strict no no for you. Is it? Don't you take fried stuff occasionally because fried snacks are the yummiest (though not good for health)
Yes, you are very right that too much cholesterol could make us look fat. It means you want to look slim and fit.

It is a Samosa. It is in the shape of a triangle. It is made of dough of refined flour. Boiled potatoes and peas are stuffed in it, then it is deep fried and is served hot with sauce.

It is good that you avoid taking deep friend snacks because these taste good but in the long run are not good for our health. Have you been taking medicines for your stomach issues?

@Nawsheen You could take omerprazole, as and when required. The best thing is to avoid oily/greasy and deep fried stuff. Intake of salt and spices should also be minimum for controlling stomach ulcers. You could take boiled stuff, beverages and juices etc.

@dpk262006 Yes I have been taking omeprazole. I am no longer on it as I am much better now. But I need to follow my diet

Ohhhh but deep fried food tastes so good ! But I agree it should be avoided (though I will take a nibble if it happens to be there . . . moderation, right?). I can't think of anything that I will completely avoid at all costs (I am trying to be real about the limitations I should take - like I said, I will nibble from time to time) . . . but there is a list of things I have that I'm trying to eat less of. Let's just say I'm trying to eat less sugar, less highly processed foods, less meats . . . and trying to eat foods as close to its most natural form as possible - like fresh raw vegetables.

No doubt about it that fried food taste sumptuous and many a times we just cannot hold back ourselves from taking a bite.
We could sometimes take fried food in moderation and up to a limit to satiate our craving for that particular item.
You are on the right path as you have started taking less sugar, less meat and less processed food. We know that these things are harmlful and we should try our best to reduce its intake. If you eat raw food as much as possible, it will be beneficial for your health and beauty.

@much2say I am not going to tell anyone that you ate 2 samosas the other night. It would have digested by now.
I agree with you that to taste things in moderation is easier said than done. We are human beings and get tempted many a times.
Christmas and New Year holidays are exception, during those days you could eat whatever you want.

@dpk262006 Don't tell anyone that I ate 2 samosas the other night .
"Sometimes" is ok, but certainly not "often". I still struggle with what "moderation" is . . . but I guess one bite or so will not be too terrible (my tastebuds will at least thank me ).
I sure hope it is the right path, but oh I so easily can get distracted. So many temptations along the path . . . but I am getting better about it. These holidays sure make it difficult though . . . this is when "moderation" takes a holiday as well .

It is better to avoid greasy food as it causes problems once we have consumed it. Some fried snacks could be taken once in a while but not on regular basis.

@LadyDuck Yes, it could be risky to gain weight, so it would be better to control our temptation about oily food.

Here people also think the deep fried food is unhealthy. But I have to say I can't avoid it since it is so delicious. I especially enjoy eating deep fried chicken. I think sometimes we have to treat oursevels better. As long as we don't eat the unhealthy food all the time, it is fine for me.

So you just cannot resist not to eat fried chicken, though it could be heavy on our digestive system. Yes, you are right that sometimes we could take the liberty of pampering ourselves and that should be fine.

If you could digest anything and everything and it does not adversely affects your body, then there is nothing wrong in consuming dishes and snacks of your choice.

You got it right that it is picture of Samosa, which is oily and full of fats. But many of us get tempted seeing it and cannot resist to eat it.
Which other snack do you consider unhealthy?

Nothing is unhealthy in moderation. The body is designed to have some junk, it helps build immunity. Seems people that are complete health nuts pass away to early. Just eat a good variety of stuff and, the body will be just fine.
Now I want homemade french fries lol.

It is interesting to hear that our body is designed to absorb junk food also and one should not be so afraid of eating junk food.
Are fried French fries not unhealthy?
