So, I put out a sticky trap before bed last night, and thought maybe I would just catch one. I got three. On one trap. The icky little things have been breeding (yuck). So I have put out another trap and some decon.
UPDATE:
Just got another one. The death count is now up to 4.
UPDATE 2:
5 now. The last one was trying to drag the trap with it under the dishwasher

I'm glad you've cats who eat the mice, instead of leaving little headless presents for you! Luckily, we haven't had a mouse problem since moving down here. Other critters, now that's a different story. At least I don't mind the cute little lizards who hang out on the outside of the back door.

@Rohvannyn I love lizards! I would much rather have a lizard problem than a mouse problem.

What did you catch? I do not see the photo clearly.

It's three baby mice. They were all alive and squirming. Ew.

as i said earlier i had these sticky traps also but the problem with those is that the mice caught here cannot easily be removed.

Is there any chance of you getting the old style snapper trap? At least it would break their necks cleanly instead of letting them be stuck and die slowly. That said, it's good you managed to catch so many.

@mommymonky Okay, that's not so bad then. And I totally understand your decision given those circumstances.

@amandajay nope. just 5 babies. I bought this fancy metal box that is supposed to trap mice, that I thought my fiancé could just deal with when he gets home, but it sat all night and didn't catch anything.

I worked as an exterminator decades ago and a movie theater was having a problem with mice getting into their popcorn storage. We put a bunch of glue traps around the room and the hallway leading to the room. In just a few days we'd eliminated dozens of mice. After a week, the problem went away.

Poisons like that can be very dangerous. Be careful.

Yikes I would have so freaked out when I saw that. Glad my hubby takes care of stuff like that. We have an old house so we usually get one mouse every winter. We get rid of that and seem to have no more.

@mommymonky Yes I would be the same, hubby has to take care of that mess, I can't deal with that. Makes my skin crawl.

I did freak out lol. I was expecting maybe one, because I could hear it last night, and I'm terrified of the creepy little things anyway.....and I open the cupboard and there's three. I'm still shaking
