We used to have a quiet district and shopping was a happy experience for all the local people until something happened. The people from mainland China came to Hong Kong like bees and bought tons of things back and sell it to the Mainland Chinese . They came like bees because once they bought anything back from Hong Kong, they will make soem good money from every trip they come. Since it is easy money for them , and cross the border would only take 10 minutes. In case of long line up, they can still earn good money from it. That's why they think that it is worth it to come. It made all the local people feel disturb from their arrival. These people just come for money and they don't care about whether they will make Hong Kong people uncomfortable or not. The Hong Kong government tries to do something to stop them to come but it seems to be quite useless. Even some of the Hong Kong people would buy things and sell it to mainland Chinese shop as well. Thus , it made the local people who lives in this area very angry about all these quick money related business. They made everywhere in my district like a drug store and a warehouse as well and replaced all the daily living shop such as restaurant and other local area. Thus, shopping in this place even in the market area is just no fun at all. People with heavy luggage are everywhere and they always crash on you and walked away without even say sorry for that. They are really making this area like mess. They are mostly impolite people and low education as well. These people are a shame for the country. However, it is just a small part of the problems of the whole China. What do you think ? Do you like to do shopping with tons of people everywhere that you can't even walk pass through them ? Share with us ?

No, I'm an impatient person. I want to walk fast. Would definitely not shop in crowded areas.

For the retail sector, Christmas is one of the busiest times of year. Why do you oppose the Chinese supporting your retailers? How do you think shop owners can pay their most-expensive-rent-on-earth? Locals in Hong Kong cannot & do not spend enough anyway. Why don't you start seeing yourself as One China & solve the problems together? Then the border will become less of a problem & there will be more infrastructure built to accommodate the higher traffic levels. Shutting them out is not the solution. Why do you even go shopping at peak times? Why not go very early or very late or ask retailers when it is not busy?

Well, Mr. I think you don't quite understand our situation in here.Nobody is opposing the real people who come to be a consumer in this place. Unfortunately these are not the real consumers. They were sent here to rob all our stuffs back to mainland china and make our babies in the city have not enough milk powder for the babies in this city . They came like locust and took everything away. Do you think the retailer got any benefit from it. Not really. Only the big retailers who control more than 10 shops and who bought many places in this district got all the benefits from these locust. He is the big landlord in here andctent out small places with very high price to the small business owners. That's why he earned more than 2 billions per years like these and made those locust like people came and threw all the garbage on the streets and mess up this place like a big garbage can. How do you like your home being invaded by someone outside your city , take everything away and make you uncomfortable even when you just want to walk on the street like a normal person. Each time when you walk , you have to step over their luggage or walk very carefully before anything will hit you.We all see things as one China but with two different political system and that's the uniqueness of Hong Kong government. No Hong Kong people loves to live under the communist ruling China because of all the bad things and corruption they have in the mainland. We used to have a very good system and more advance in everything when compared to mainland China. It is always busy in this district and holiday is the worst. We have more people in here than. You can imagine. The shop opens at 10 am and finished at 10 pm at night and there are always full of people in here and everyday is the same. Thank you for your response anyway.

@wildlittlefan Our retailer don't even have the mood to serve our local people because they knew that people from the mainland will buy much more than the local people. The staffs in the shop are all from grassroots and they will yell out loud to any customers and never knows what means by manner. They don't care about any cinstoners anyway because they know that they have tons of customers lining up everyday. That's our retail staffs. You can compliant about them but even the government officials can do nothing about it . Well, I think if you live in this district or some district in out city for one day, you will see things differently.

@wildlittlefan They did the same to us here with the milk powder & the resulting hatred from locals was entirely unjustified. Here, shops banned all sales exceeding a couple of cans per person it was in the media for months. The fact is, we have tons of the stuff warehoused & prices were forced down due to the high volume turnover so the cheats couldn't "food corner" the market. Why not share your quality products with mothers who don't want their children poisoned? A child is a child, after all. We also regulated behaviour & monitored everything with cameras. They don't rob, they pay. Profits are nowhere near as important as sales turnover in retail. If the place gets dirty, just hire more street sweepers & shop cleaners. Regulate & signpost in Mandarin & Cantonese where luggage is to be placed. Stop whinging like the British are so well known for & act! If you really can't stand it, why not just shop online in advance? China is less communist & more Taoist now than before & corruption is all over... with Hong Kong ranking #18 according to Wiki.
