I finally dragged out the Christmas decorations yesterday and did my part of the decorating. I brought the tree, tree lights, and tree decorations out but haven't done anything with them. We're waiting for hubby to be off work.... today is his last day. But I did call him at work today, frustrated that my older daughter seems to have stuff all over the house. She just doesn't clean up after herself.
I cleared off the coffee table where she seems to have taken up residence. When I came down today she had her feet up on it crumpling up my Christmas runner. Now she, of course, is complaining that she's tired and will for the next 3 days when she is working. I called hubby and told him my frustrations, and there's car issues too as I seem to be filling them up and others driving them, and I even mentioned dealing with him too. I honestly don't know why I even called him.
Things haven't been that great with him the last few days... mainly because he has been working days and disappears for bed around 9pm without saying goodnight... unless I chase him down.
I found my Christmas stocking. I feel pretty dumb as it was actually packed in the box with the other stockings (which I had left out waiting for mine to reappear).
My younger daughter has been mostly absent. When she reappeared this afternoon she came down to the basement freezer, then I smelled food cooking. It smelled good. I was going to go check and see what was up when she came down with a plate in hand for me - chicken nuggets, rice and mixed vegetables. She brought such a smile to my face. That one is a keeper!
Now I am binging on Fuller House on Netflix. I can't remember which episode I'm on now... 6 or 7.
I am almost feeling 100% after my first week of exercise. The live stream resumes tomorrow. I'm thinking of doing a couple of exercises today just to prepare myself.
I have my Christmas menus written out. Now all I have to do is finish the grocery shopping, a couple of stocking stuffers, and wrapping everything.
I guess I'm all caught up now. I hope the next week runs smoothly.
Gingerbread house is from a couple of years ago.

@patgalca sometimes...just because of the memories you make while building and decorating. The children learn lessons in perseverance, cooperation and that some things are much more difficult then they look.

@Morleyhunt We never built gingerbread houses when my children were, well, children. Only when they were teenagers did they take it upon themselves to buy a kit and make them. Same with baking cookies. I haven't been much of a baker since I had children. I seemed to screw things up after my hormones changed.

It can be hard to deal with extra adults in the house who have different standards of neatness and such than we do. My hubby is one of those.

Enjoy Fuller House before the new season starts next year. You'll love it. Sorry to hear about your X-mas woes. But I'm glad your youngest daughter had cooked dinner for you. Fingers crossed.
