The Government of India has been emphasizing on cleanliness. But unfortunately, it could not teach people about the values of life. The people are totally irresponsible and know only to point out mistakes with the Government without any introspection of their self.
Event the educated in India visit abroad and come back to their motherland. On their, each and every visit to a foreign country they choose to pick up something to point out with the Government.
They know how to praise a foreign country for each and everything. They talk about cleanliness They talk about the roads, colors of the dustbins kept on the roads, the traffic service, the transport system, the maintenance of roads, the police etc.,
Unfortunately, they do not realize to implement or introduce the same in their motherland at least on some experimental basis. Everything done and introduced in a foreign country appears to be very nice for them.
The parties which were in the Government though boast of many developmental activities taken up by their government could not teach the common man about the importance of cleanliness. They have been boasting of allotment of funds generously towards various developmental schemes but without any result to be witnessed anywhere.
THE COMMON MAN IN INDIA IS TOTally neglected to his fate when it comes to the maintenance of cleanliness either in Toilets or near the Toilets. THE MODIJI GOVERNMENT HAD TO TAKE UP EVERYTHING ON ITS SHOULDER FROM THE BEGINNING with a sense of responsibility.
Even after Independence of 60 years, people are totally unmindful of the cleanliness in the trains. Had the earlier governments taken proper action the situation would have been different and would have made the things easy for the next government But, they did not want this at any time. They know only how to make the things difficult for the next government. They have shown and allotted crores of rupees in their annual budget but surprisingly nobody has questioned as to the money spent on the different scheme and the development achieved.
The previous Government has never thought of laying underground cable in and around VARANASI Temple premises. It is only Mr. Modi who took up the activity on war footing basis and the work is going on.
The previous government had never thought of plastering the steps at the river Ganges. It is only Mr. Modi who took it up and completed very quickly. It is only he who ordered for cleaning of the water of the river Ganga. Now, anybody who ever visits Varanasi can take a bath comfortably in the river Ganges
But how long only a single person and his government should take up such activities? Is it not the responsibility of the public also to feel the importance of cleanliness?
Can't the educated traveling in a train educate a co-traveler when he commits any mistake? Can't he teach a person how to keep the wash basin in a train clean?
No. in India, it never happens. He wants the government to come and teach with a rule.
I have been seeing since my childhood that the wash basins in Trains will be full of Masala spit. It appears in different colors. Sometimes in red, orange, rose, and the green. It will be filled with green leaves, gutka spit, unused curry settled at the bottom of a washbasin. This is continuing even now. The people are not changed. We developed in our thinking but not in working.
THE INDIANS DECIDED NOT TO DEVELOP THEIR WORK THEY ARE BORN AND LEARNT TO APPRECIATE THE THINGS IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY BUT NOT TO INTRODUCE OR IMPLEMENT THEM IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY.

People in general have no civic sense in India. The government has taken some steps but much more remains to be done. In fact, cleanliness must be inculcated from childhood. While cleanliness and hygiene is taught in some schools, in thousands of government schools it is completely neglected.

yeah I agree with you It should be taught from childhood. But the country is made of many poor villages where people are uneducated The previous Governments has been allocating funds for the education of the poor. But it remained to paper only. They never reach the poor man. They swallowed everything. It is quite natural that there is no one to teach them. The situation continued since the Independence. Now after 60 years the country has got the Government with a new party ie, BJP under Mr. Modi. He is totally dedicated and the whole aspect of cleaning the dust starting from villages has taken up on his shoulders. He is doing an extraordinary work. It will take another 10 years for him to make people educated and make India clean which was never cared for by the previous Governments.

That is a very great pity that people are not changing their behaviour. Change needs to start with individuals.
